The next-gen iPhones are on around the corner – if rumours are to be believed – the iPhone 14 series – is coming this September, as usual. This year’s lineup would include four models, but Apple is reportedly shelving the ‘mini’ iPhone for a bigger ‘Max’ one. So, the iPhone 14 series would reportedly consist of – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. If you want the bigger iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max, you might have to wait a little longer.
Noted analyst Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) suggests that the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max are running behind schedule, which could delay the shipments for these two models. Young says that the delay is because of the later than expected production for their panels, which has reportedly begun this month, i.e. July than June.
The analyst does not expect any delay in their launch, so we can expect the iPhone 14 series to launch as usual in September. However, there could be an initial supply constraint for iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max, so they might be made available for purchase at a later date compared to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. So, it could get tough for customers to get their hands on the iPhone 14 Max’ initially after the launch.
What to expect from iPhone 14 Max?
The iPhone 14 Max is said to measure the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is 6.7-inches, but there will be considerable differences between the two. It will be more of a bigger iPhone 14 rather than an affordable iPhone 14 Pro Max. So, it would have a standard 60Hz AMOLED panel, A15 Bionic chip and a dual camera system.
