Zoom Apps launched: You can use over 50 apps while you are attending a Zoom call – Times of India

Zoom has introduced Zoom Apps, through which you use over 50 third-party apps while you are attending a Zoom call. You can access apps like Asana, Dropbox Spaces, Pexels and more right from inside the Zoom call interface. You will need to download the latest version of Zoom to install third-party apps from the new Apps tab.
“Zoom Apps gives you plenty of screen space to collaborate with the ability to expand and collapse the Apps side panel, open your app in a new window, and switch between multiple Zoom Apps at once,” explained Carlin Sack, product marketing manager, App Marketplace & Integrations in the official blog post.
If you are using your office’s Zoom account then the IT admin can control how Zoom Apps are used across your organization with admin settings. “Your admin may require that you get pre-approval before adding specific Zoom Apps.” added Sack.

How to access Zoom Apps

  • Download the latest version of Zoom
  • Open Zoom and click the Apps tab in the desktop client or in the toolbar of your next Zoom Meeting. For some accounts, users may need admins to enable the Zoom Apps icon in the account settings for it to be visible in the desktop client and meeting toolbar.
  • Click Discover to see the list of available Zoom Apps and add your favorites.

Zoom users can also visit the Zoom App Marketplace, navigate to the Zoom Apps category, and add the desired. Once the apps are added, you can find the apps under the Apps icon in the My Apps tab in the interface of your Zoom Meetings.
The app that are available now include Asana, Dropbox Spaces, Dot Collector, Funtivity by Hermis, Heads Up!, Kahoot!, Live2Coursera, Pexels, SurveyMonkey Enterprise by Momentive, Wellness That Works by WW among others.
