zoom: Now, Zoom could tell if your meeting is getting ‘boring’
Video calling app Zoom will now be able to ‘sense’ and tell you if the online meeting you are attending is getting boring. A free tool has come for Zoom users for the same reason. Called ‘Read Dashboard’, it gives the participants in a meeting real-time info with various parameters like engagement and sentiment, as per a report by 9To5Google.
A Seattle-based startup called Read AI is behind ‘Read Dashboard’. Read was co-founded in May by CEO David Shim, former CEO of Foursquare, vice president of engineering Rob Williams and vice president of data science Elliott Waldron, as per a report by TechCrunch. The trio has known each other for a long time and previously worked together at location analytics startup Placed, which was acquired by Snapchat and later became Foursquare.
Read Dashboard can be added to Zoom for free via the Google Calendar Integration. Or, you can invite [email protected] to your next meeting. With the Active Read feature on the dashboard, the tool can provide insights on how a video conferencing session is going and “validates intuition and eliminates second-guessing on call quality with analytics.”
With the help of Active Read, you can know how the call is going by checking a single metric. Active Read combines sentiment and engagement, as per the company. The dashboard will also show positive, negative, and neutral sentiment through designated bars. The company claims that the tool can measure “positive and negative reactions from participants” and uses both video and audio for measurement.
