ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition launched in China: Specifications, price and features – Times of India
ZTE has introduced a special edition of Axon 40 Ultra – the Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition. The latest smartphone offers the same specifications as the Axon 40 Ultra, which was launched earlier this year in May. Though, there are a few differences, a space-inspired design, up to 18GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

The Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition takes inspiration from the light and shadow of time travel, featuring a shuttle ridgeline at the back. The three camera sensors are arranged in a porthole design, delivering overall space-inspired aesthetics. The panel at the back is carved out of ceramic using the nano-casting process.
The Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition features a 6.8-inch flexible curved AMOLED. The display comes with a refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 1500 nits. Further, the panel covers 100 per cent of the sRGB colour gamut and comes with support for 1.07 billion colours.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset powers the smartphone. The chipset under the hood comes paired with 12GB/18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB/1TB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Under the hood, the smartphone has a 9-layer heat dissipation structure spanning 36,356 mm square of the area and a dual-channel enhanced VC liquid-cooled vaporizer. The smartphone runs MyOS 12 on top of Android 12.
The Space Edition has the same camera setup comprising of a 64MP IMX787 main sensor with OIS, a 64MP IMX787 ultra-wide sensor, a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 5.7x optical zoom and a TOF sensor. On the front, it has a third-gen under-display camera of 16MP.
The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. In the audio department, the smartphone supports audio through USB-C and has a dual stereo speaker. Connectivity options include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS + GLONASS, and NFC.
