5 new Garmin MarQ watches launched in India: Here’s how they differ from each other | Digit

Garmin has launched the MarQ series in India including 5 smartwatches, namely MarQ Athlete, MarQ Adventurer, MarQ Golfer, MarQ Captain, and MarQ Aviator. Besides carrying signature Garmin health and fitness features, each of these watches caters to unique use cases like athletic performance, outdoor adventure, flight and more. All these new Garmin MarQ 2 watches are made of Grade-5 titanium chassis and an AMOLED sapphire glass touchscreen. Further, they all have dedicated features and build materials suiting their use case. Garmin claims these smartwatches can last up to 16 days in smartwatch mode and up to 42 hours in GPS mode.

How 4 Garmin MarQ smartwatches differ from each other

1. MarQ Athlete

MARQ Athlete comes with a titanium case and brushed DLC-coated bezel on the front. A lightweight vented silicone rubber strap is attached to it.

MARQ Athlete is equipped with PacePro, which tracks your course, guides you to stay on the path, and keeps tabs on real-time stamina so that you don’t go overboard. It has sports apps for running, cycling, swimming, skiing, golf, pickleball, tennis, gym workouts, surfing, etc. You also get easy-to-follow animated cardio, strength, yoga and Pilates workouts.

2. MarQ Adventurer

MarQ Adventurer sports an edge-to-edge leather design, FKM rubber hybrid strap, and compass engraving on the bezel. Inside it, there is an orienteering feature to stick to your track and reach the destination.

3. MarQ Golfer

True to its name, Golfer comes with a golf course-inspired green and silver colour scheme. Attached to it is a tritone green jacquard-weave nylon strap. The watch packs more than 42,000 golf courses, and autodetects the course you are playing on, showing distances to the front, middle and back of the green, along with slope direction. In the mix of things, you also get Virtual Caddie, Hazard View, Wind Data, PinPointer and automatic club tracking.

4. MarQ Captain

Again, to match the name, the design of MarQ Captain includes a navy blue-coloured ceramic bezel. There is a regatta timer marked on the bezel. The watch has got striped jacquard weave nylon strap.

Now that in-built Regatta Timer is meant to help racers cross the starting point, calculate the ideal position, know where they are heading, engage pattern steering, and reach their destination on time. It also brings Alerts and Alarms for imminent tide changes and anchor drag.

Garmin has also included on-the-water activity modes such as kayaking, standup paddleboarding, windsurfing, kitesurfing and kiteboarding.

5. MarQ Aviator

The design of the MarQ Aviator consists of a brushed titanium bracelet with a locking clasp. On the surface, there is a 24-hour GMT ceramic bezel and swept-wing links.

It helps you fly to a location or waypoint in the worldwide aeronautical database. You get weather and environmental alerts, and if you are a pilot, you can set a minimum crosswind and flight conditions, and it will let you know the best time to fly. There is a Jetlag advisor that gives you 24/7 guidance on light, sleep and exercise while you are out and about.

Besides these features, all Garmin watches come with multi-band GNSS, multi-frequency GPS (L1 + L5) Garmin SatIQ technology that auto-connects to the right satellite, and general health trackers for heart rate, sleep, and Body-Battery (energy).
