Flipkart delivers iPhone 14 to customer who ordered an iPhone 13: Report

E-commerce platform Flipkart has lately been in the news for making some delivery blunders. After sending detergent bars to a customer who ordered a laptop, the Walmart-owned e-tailer company has now made another delivery mishap. A Twitter user with the account name Ashwin Hedge has uploaded pictures of his latest order from Flipkart showing the wrong product that was delivered to him. The customer originally ordered an iPhone 13 and the e-tailer delivered the latest iPhone 14.

A tweet by Hedge contains two images out of which one shows the customer’s order details on Flipkart. It shows that the buyer ordered a 128GB variant of iPhone 13. The other picture reveals a box of iPhone 14 that was delivered to the customer and was verified upon delivery.

How internet users reacted to Flipkart’s mistake
The development started a meme fest online. While various Twitter users said the customer was lucky to have received the iPhone 14 instead of the iPhone 13, others joked that the similarities in phones’ design might have caused confusion.
Flipkart is one of the biggest online shopping platforms in India and the festive season rush could have been a reason for this. Most people share their complaints on social media when they receive wrong products. It looks like there has been no development from the e-tailer and it has not issued a comment in this regard.

According to Redseer’s Ecommerce Festive Season ‘22 report, Flipkart group topped the e-commerce festival sales in India with 62% market share in gross merchandise value (GMV). Amazon was placed second with a 26% market share in terms of GMV. The report said the report is based on data from the first week of sales.
