Realme announces Realme V25 5G with a fast display and mid-range price tag

Realme V25 5G launched in China, priced at CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 23,500) for the sole 12GB RAM/256GB storage unit. It comes in three colour options – Morning Star, Purple MSI, and Sky Black. The Realme V25 5G competes against POCO X4 Pro 5G, iQOO Z5, and OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, available in the same price range. The device won’t launch in India as Realme does not ship its V-series in the country.

Realme V25 5G has a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD that supports 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is powered by Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset powers the Realme V25 5G. Under the hood, the smartphone boasts a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Realme V25 5G packs 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The RAM can be expanded up to 19GB via Dynamic RAM Expansion.

Moving to optics, Realme V25 5G flaunts a triple camera island at the back, featuring a 64MP primary camera followed by a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. It has a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls housed in a punch-hole placed at the upper-left corner on the front. The specs of Realme V25 5G are identical to the recently launched Realme 9 Pro.

How does it compare with its predecessor?

Realme V25 5G brings significant upgrades over the Realme V15 5G. The Realme V25 5G has a faster 120Hz 6.6-inch display and a bigger 5,000mAh compared to the Realme V15 5G’s 6.4-inch 60Hz screen and 4,500mAh unit. The new Realme V-series phone also offers more RAM compared to the V15 5G, which means a better multitasking experience.

However, Realme V15 5G has a better 8MP ultrawide shooter and a faster 50W charging support compared to the Realme V25 5G’s 2MP sensor and 33W charging. Realme V15 also has an AMOLED panel, which, unfortunately, is missing on the new Realme V25.
