Riot Games: Riot Games to attend India Gaming Show: All you need to know
“We are thrilled to be a part of India’s largest gaming convention, which is returning offline for the first time post-pandemic. With thousands of gamers and gaming enthusiasts expected at the India Gaming Show, we aim to deliver memorable experiences to our players, fans and the larger Indian gaming audience,” said Ashish Gupta, marketing lead at Riot Games India & South Asia.
The development comes after Valorant’s first Indian agent, Harbor, and its India-themed map, Lotus, ‘took off’ in the popularity charts among the Indian audience.
Riot Games’s “immersive experience”
The Riot Games section at the event will feature a photo arena depicting a host of ‘iconic’ map sites and Harbor’s jewels. Furthermore, the company has planned a ‘Defuse the Spike’ game where fans can roleplay as their favourite agents and carry out site rush in the NERF Shooting Zone. The players who perform the best will also get rewards from the game developer.
Regarding the company’s offerings at the event, Gupta said, “Given the growing popularity of Harbor, VALORANT’S first Indian agent, and Lotus, a map based on an Indian theme, we are excited to showcase an immersive experience at the event, to connect with the Indian esports community in person, and to show our appreciation for their support over the years.”
India Gaming Show returns offline
India Gaming Show is set to return to a physical setting this week for the first time since 2019. The gaming exhibition will feature a variety of game industry professionals and gaming enthusiasts coming together at one place.
Apart from Riot Games, representatives from PlayStation, Krafton, OnePlus, LG, and Western Digital are also expected to be present at the three-day-long show.
